-Aga Khan Museum offers broad and insightful educational programming for adults. Renowned speakers, educators, and artists engage their audiences in a variety of forums — from lectures to studio workshops and tours. Through this programming, participants gain a multidisciplinary understanding of the arts of Muslim civilizations as well as exciting opportunities to interact with the Museum’s Permanent Collection.
-Opportunities for research, dialogue and hands-on experience await post-secondary and graduate students at the Aga Khan Museum. Student discounts apply to most programs upon presentation of a valid student ID card.

A variety of lectures are offered throughout the year. Prominent local and international speakers as well as experts from the Aga Khan Museum share their expertise and opinions on the arts of Muslim civilizations.

Visiting scholars, artists, and Aga Khan Museum specialists present eight-week courses or single-day workshops that provide an in-depth, behind-the-scenes learning experience. All sessions are held in the galleries and Education Centre.

CONFERENCES AND SYMPOSIA

Throughout the year, Aga Khan Museum partners with leading academic and cultural institutions to present conferences and symposia. These events further the Museum’s mission to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the contribution that Islamic civilizations have made to world heritage. They also invite inquiry, debate and conversation across disciplines and generations.

PROPOSALS FOR WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS & YOUTH

We are currently accepting proposals for half-day and full-day workshops for adults and youth at the Aga Khan Museum. To submit a proposal, please complete the following form and email it to learn@agakhanmuseum.org.

1. a brief bio/ CV demonstrating previous relevant experience (1 page maximum)

2. documentation of your work: up to five images or five minutes of audiovisual material. (All images and audiovisual material must be Mac compatible. Please note that submitted material will not be returned.)

3. other supporting documents or web links, as applicable.
