Create and Connect
The Create and Connect Program at the Aga Khan Museum offers seniors 55+ engaging workshops inspired by the Museum’s Permanent Collection of over 1200 masterpieces.
About
The Create and Connect Program at the Aga Khan Museum offered seniors (55+) engaging workshops inspired by the Museum’s Permanent Collection of 1,200 masterpieces. These sessions promote cross-cultural connections, creative expression, well-being, and lifelong learning. The program was offered through our partnership with community organizations.
In these sessions, participants created various hands-on activities under the guidance of the Museum’s expert Educators. Each program began with a brief tour of the Museum Collections Gallery. Following the tour, participants returned to the classroom to create. Toward the end of the program, participants enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee, made new friends, and explored the Museum on their own accord, all while enjoying the TD Pop-Up Performances. Before leaving, participants were invited to spend 5 to 10 minutes participating in a brief program feedback session. At the end of the visit, each participant received a free 1-year individual membership to the Aga Khan Museum.
The Aga Khan Museum’s 2024-25 Create & Connect Program was supported by the Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility through the Seniors Community Grant Program 2024-25.
