Enjoy an evening of classical North Indian music and dance with an ensemble of emerging and established artists, including San Francisco-based tabla master Pandit Swapan Chaudhari, New Delhi-based Kathak dancer Saswati Sen, and Ottawa-based vocalist Vinay Bhide.
Sadhana, meaning intense dedication in Sanskrit is not only a performance, it is also part of a larger project for emerging artists in the classical South Asian tradition, and includes master classes and feedback sessions at the National Ballet of Canada.
This performance is an associate partnership with Pratibha Arts, and is part of our 2019/20 season, Listening to Each Other, which pays tribute to the role of the performing arts in preserving culture, spurring social change, and celebrating diversity.
