Rhythms of Canada

SPECIAL EVENT

Rhythms of Canada

Date: Sunday, June 30 (12–11 pm) & Monday, July 1 (12–6 pm), RAIN OR SHINE
Price: FREE

Getting Here: Free shuttle bus from downtown with 5 convenient stops

Join us for a two-day festival celebrating Canada’s contemporary fabric — a dynamic mix of cultures, stories, and rhythms!

Enjoy an artisan market, food fair, bike-repair clinic, calligraphy station, a giant outdoor chess set, and our Meet the Curator Tours!

Flex your artistic muscles with family friendly art-making activities and dance workshops led by Bageshree Vaze (kathak - 3 pm) and Carmen Romero (flamenco - 4 pm). Then break out your new moves during our lineup of performances from some of Toronto’s best artists (see below).

Be sure to take advantage of $10 special admission to our popular exhibition, The Moon: A Voyage Through Time, on both days.

Also, on July at 1 pm, find out how Canada’s cultural context allows communities to connect through music in a panel session with the artistic directors of the Ashkenaz Foundation and the Museum, along with members of the Israeli-Iranian Musical Initiative.
