Featuring the work of art collective, ArtLords and Afghan-Canadian artist Shaheer Zazai, Afghanistan My Love is a contemporary exhibition that demonstrates how art can be used as a powerful medium for connection during times of adversity.

Marianne Fenton joined the Aga Khan Museum in 2017. She holds an MFA from Stellenbosch University as well as an MA in Contemporary Art History from OCAD University and has lived and worked in South Africa, England, and Canada. Marianne is a visual artist who has been involved in developing and managing international art initiatives, including the Global Experience Project artist residency program hosted by OCAD University, and since joining the Museum, has curated numerous exhibitions of contemporary art, including Skate Girls of Kabul (2017), Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From (2019), State of Play (2021), Ghazaleh Avarzamani’s Terms and Conditions Apply* (2021), and Mahtab Hussain’s An Ocean in a Drop (2022).
