Join the Canadian Arabic Orchestra for a musical journey that will transcend space and time, taking you from the Acropolis to Constantinople, as Greek and Arabic music intertwine.
The language of music unites cultures in this performance, which is part of the annual Festival of Arabic Music and Arts, as well as the Museum’s 2019/20 season, Listening to Each Other, which pays tribute to the role of the performative arts in connecting communities, preserving culture, and spurring social change.
Don’t forget that a ticket to any of our Performing Arts events grants you access to our galleries on the day of the show, so you can enjoy our Museum Collection and our special exhibitions.
The Canadian Arabic Orchestra is a non-profit organization based in Mississauga, dedicated to connecting audiences with classical Arabic music, while celebrating the freedom and diversity of Canada’s cultural landscape. The repertoire covers all parts of the Arab world and spans a period that goes back to early Andalusia – sometimes with a Western Classical and Jazz twist. We help Canadians get in touch with the cultural roots of Arabic music.
