For more than 3,000 years, even in times of adversity and loss, Nowruz has marked the arrival of spring as a symbol of renewal, a quiet reminder that life and hope always return. Nowruz, the Persian word for “new day,” is a two-week annual celebration marking the vernal equinox and the first day of spring.
Join us as we look at the history and traditions around this special time of year and participate in a traditional Nowruz celebration with Museum educator, Shirin Divanbeigi.
