In Yash Chopra’s Lamhe, Viren’s youthful love for Pallavi remains with him long after life takes an unexpected turn. Years later, a return to India brings him face to face with Pooja, Pallavi’s daughter, whose resemblance to her mother stirs memories and raises unexpected questions about love, loss, and the passage of time.
Starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in a remarkable dual role, the 1991 film unfolds across generations, exploring relationships, memory, and the ways in which our understanding of love can change with time. Its elegant storytelling, evocative music, memorable performances, and distinctive visual style have made it one of Yash Chopra’s most discussed romantic films.
