Flamenco has always been a world of encounters: between music and dance, tradition and innovation, body and soul. With Cruces, the acclaimed Compañía José Manuel Álvarez invites us into this space of crossings, where hierarchies dissolve and new dialogues emerge.

Four voices of flamenco, dance, song, guitar, and percussion come together in equal measure. Each art form stands alone, yet intertwines with the others in a vibrant, asymmetrical conversation. The result is an intimate yet powerful journey into the very heart of flamenco: its rhythms, its silences, its vulnerability, and its uncontainable joy.

With breathtaking artistry, Cruces moves beyond convention while honouring flamenco’s essence. It is not only a performance, but a celebration — a living, breathing encounter with one of the world’s most passionate traditions.

Peñas

November 20–23

Peñas are informal social venues that bring together audiences and artists to encourage conversation and allow for the appreciation of performances, both planned and spontaneous.

Join us in the Museum’s Atrium as it transforms into a Peña following the performances in the Nanji Family Foundation Auditorium. Mingle with other audience members, the artists, and enjoy the festive atmosphere while diverse local flamenco artists whisk you away each evening.

*Admission to each Peña is included with the ticket purchased for that evening’s performance. Tickets for the Peñas can’t be purchased separately.
