Join us in the Nanji Family Foundation Auditorium for the Annual Couchiching Conference, co-hosted by the Canadian International Council (CIC) in partnership with the Aga Khan Museum.

The Couchiching Conference aims to foster an inclusive dialogue on the evolving role of diplomacy on the international stage. This event will provide a platform for citizens, journalists, academics, and students to engage in meaningful discussions on international affairs, reflecting our shared mission to give Canadians a voice in global matters.

By exploring themes such as cultural diplomacy, artificial intelligence, the Arctic, the implications of the US election on NATO, summit diplomacy, and the future of diplomacy, the conference seeks to promote a deeper understanding of Canada’s role in a rapidly changing international landscape. Additionally, the conference will emphasize youth participation and integrate diverse perspectives to ensure a holistic and representative discourse on global diplomatic challenges.

PANEL 1: SUMMIT DIPLOMACY

This panel will delve into the evolving role of summit diplomacy in addressing today’s most urgent global challenges. World leaders regularly convene at high-level summits to negotiate critical issues such as international security, climate change, and economic stability. Panelists will discuss the impact of these diplomatic gatherings on shaping global policies, exploring both successes and limitations. Attendees will gain insights into how summit diplomacy drives collaboration and conflict resolution on the world stage.
