Inspired by the Museum’s collections, this hands-on workshop explores the foundational elements of Islamic art, from geometry and proportion to rhythm and ornament, with a particular focus on geometric and floral motifs.
Through guided exploration and mindful experimentation with Gel plate monoprinting, participants will learn techniques such as layering, masking, and texture transfer to create original prints. This relaxed, process-oriented workshop invites reflection on the interplay between colour, form, and pattern, resulting in vibrant, one-of-a-kind works inspired by the timeless beauty of our collections.
