This Family Day Weekend, celebrate the Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Horse at the Aga Khan Museum with exciting activities and performances presented in partnership with the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto.

The Year of the Horse celebrates energy, confidence, and forward movement. The Horse is often associated with perseverance, independence, and a joyful spirit, symbolizing progress and new possibilities.

Join us as we explore creativity, curiosity, and shared experiences, moving forward with optimism, imagination, and a shared sense of adventure. From calligraphy demonstrations in the Atrium and an exhilarating lion dance to captivating live music and creative workshops, don’t miss a weekend of art and connection.

The Museum’s Performing Arts programming is generously supported by the Nanji Family Foundation.

Aga Khan Park: Winter Fest

Saturday, February 14

Step into a winter playground at the Aga Khan Park, where art and seasonal fun come together outdoors. Watch master carvers from Ice Guys transform blocks of ice into striking sculptures.

Throughout the day, the Park comes alive with outdoor winter games designed for all ages, from relay games and bowling to igloo building and snow-ready challenges that make the most of the season. Warm up by our fire pits while you enjoy the glow of the Museum lit up against the winter sky.
