Toronto Beekeepers Collective
The Toronto Beekeepers Collective is a non‑profit, volunteer‑run urban beekeeping organization that has been active in Toronto since 2002. The collective cares for shared honeybee hives across the city, provides public education about pollinators, and advocates for healthy urban ecosystems. They manage multiple bee yards—including sites at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Downsview Park, and Black Creek Community Farm—and offer members hands‑on beekeeping experience, workshops, community events, and a share of the annual honey harvest.
