Soraya Clavijo

Soraya Clavijo, born in Jerez de la Frontera, is a celebrated flamenco dancer who won the National Flamenco Award for Bulerías Carmen Amaya in 2004. She began her flamenco journey at 13 and later moved to Seville at 19 to advance her career, training with legends like Eva la Yerbabuena and Joaquín Grilo. Her breakthrough came in 2001 at the Mont de Marsan Flamenco Festival, leading to numerous performances in Spain and internationally.

Soraya has performed in prestigious tablaos like Los Gallos, Casa Patas, and Tablao Cordobes, and has toured Japan, sharing stages with iconic artists. Her style, rooted in the Jerez school, is uniquely her own. She is known for her innovative shows, including Por la Carreterita Vieja, La Reja 1942, and Odisea, the latter of which captivated audiences at the 2023 Jerez Festival. As a choreographer and stage director, Soraya continues to push the boundaries of flamenco.
