Troilee and Moisilee, known as the “Sarod Sisters,” are acclaimed young sarod players of the Senia-Maihar Gharana. Trained under the affectionate guidance of Pandit Kamal Mallick, their journey has also been shaped by sitar maestro Pandit Sanjoy Bandopadhyay and sarod virtuoso Pandit Partho Sarathy, under whose tutelage they currently study.

Performing together since childhood, the sisters have earned the blessings of legendary musicians and captivated audiences across India and abroad. Their notable performances include appearances at The Dover Lane Music Conference in Kolkata, the Pandit Ravi Shankar Music Foundation in New Delhi, Milap in the UK, and the Ustad Ali Akbar Khan Birth Centenary Concert presented by the Aashish Khan School of World Music and Annapurna Devi Foundation.

Both artists have received national recognition: Troilee and Moisilee were awarded scholarships from India’s Ministry of Culture. Troilee is a gold medallist and first-class first in her Master’s in Music from Rabindra Bharati University and was awarded a doctorate in 2020. She is also a ‘Sangeet Ratna’ from Bangiyo Sangeet Parishad and an empanelled artist with All India Radio, Doordarshan, and SPICMACAY. Moisilee, who holds a Master’s degree in Physics and is currently a research scholar at Jadavpur University, has earned a first-class distinction in her sixth year from Bangiyo Sangeet Parishad.

With a deep reverence for tradition and a shared passion for innovation, the Sarod Sisters continue to enchant audiences through their soulful and synchronized performances.
