Muhammad Ahsan ‘Papu,’ a celebrated flutist from Pakistan, began his career recording with renowned film industry composers before joining Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi on a UK tour in 1986. Shortly after, he became a key collaborator with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, contributing to Nusrat’s debut album and subsequent recordings in Pakistan and India. In 2000, Papu joined the Mekaal Hassan Band, blending traditional flute with jazz-rock fusion, captivating audiences worldwide. His artistry has received acclaim across Europe, Australia, and South Asia.
