Mai Habib is a seasoned communications professional whose career has been shaped by a deep commitment to storytelling and public dialogue. With experience spanning broadcast journalism, newsroom leadership, and strategic communications, she has spent years helping audiences better understand the world and the people in it. Mai holds an undergraduate degree in journalism and a Master’s in Public Policy, bringing both narrative insight and a policy-minded perspective to her work.
Born to an Egyptian family that immigrated to Canada, Mai carries a deep appreciation for the layered identities that shape who we are. Her heritage, upbringing, and professional journey have all informed her enduring curiosity about culture, belonging, and the stories that connect us across borders.
An avid traveler who considers herself a citizen of the world, Mai has explored 26 countries and counting. She finds joy in discovering new landscapes and perspectives. Much of her free time now is spent sharing that sense of wonder with her two young children, introducing them to the beauty of the outdoors and the adventure of exploring the world together.
