Born in Buenos Aires, Lucas Balbo brings an expansive approach to rhythm, rooted in flamenco and Afro-Latin traditions. A dynamic performer, he is a fixture on Barcelona’s tablao scene, where he has shared the stage with artists like Marco Flores, Mercedes de Córdoba, La Farruca, and Karime Amaya.

Balbo’s work ranges from tablao performances to jazz club jam sessions, where he leads Latin-inspired improvisations. In Cruces, his percussion becomes the heartbeat — sometimes subtle and intimate, other times explosive — connecting dancers, singers, and musicians with irresistible energy.
