Iván Vargas

Iván Vargas, born in 1985 in Granada’s Sacromonte neighborhood, began his dance career at age 4, performing at la Cueva de La Rocío. From a dynasty of renowned flamenco artists, he performed in Madrid’s tablaos like Casa Patas and Café de Chinitas. Highlights of his career include the Bienal de Sevilla (1992), “Muerte en Granada” with “La Fura dels Baus,” and the 2004 Festival de Jerez. He toured internationally with “YO MISMO” and participated in major festivals in Japan, Brazil, and France. His recent work includes successful performances in the USA, Czech Republic, Belgium, and France, and he continues teaching and touring.
