Harshad Kanetkar

Harshad Kanetkar began learning tabla at the age of five. He is equally skilled and versatile, whether performing solo or accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists, or dancers. Renowned musicians have praised him for the crispness and clarity of his technique, along with his exceptional command of rhythm and stamina—classic hallmarks of his style.

He has performed with many distinguished artists at prestigious music conferences and festivals and has toured extensively, appearing in more than 17 countries worldwide. His work spans both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions of classical music, as well as collaborations within the Western music world.

Harshad has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious National Scholarship Award from the Government of India.

Most recently, he was appointed to the judging panel of the Recording Academy, best known for the Grammy Awards.
