Dr. Safi has published several books, including Memories of Muhammad, a biography of the Prophet Muhammad, and his most recent book, Radical Love: Teachings from the Islamic Mystical Tradition. His following two books are forthcoming from Princeton and Yale on Rumi and the Sufi sage Kharaqani.

His podcast, Sufi Heart, draws primarily on the wisdom of the Islamic tradition as well as the legacies of the Civil Rights movements and other wisdom teachings to meditate on the transformative power of love and the necessity of linking healing our own hearts with healing the world. His Illuminated Tours have taken 1,200 friends from over twenty countries to Turkey, Morocco, and Umrah, and he teaches online courses on Rumi and Sufism through Illuminated Courses.
