Celina Kalluk
Celina Kalluk, an Inuit-Canadian artist from Resolute Bay, Nunavut, is celebrated for her mastery of Inuit throat singing, or katajjaq. She has performed at major events, including the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee in 2012. Featured in the documentary The People Behind the Inukshuk and the children’s show Anaana’s Tent, she shares her culture worldwide. As a member of ARTCIRQ, she has performed in festivals across Greece, Mexico, and Mali, including the Festival du désert. A multi-talented artist, Celina is also a children’s book author, illustrator, and an Inuktitut language and arts teacher at Qamartalik School.
