Benjamin Barrile

Rooted in the traditions of flamenco, guitarist Benjamin Barrile is a remarkable soloist, accompanist, and composer. He has studied under many great maestros in the major centres of flamenco in Spain and in Toronto. Aside from leading his solo projects, Barrile has recorded for numerous artists such as Tamar Ilana and David Buchbinder. He is currently a resident guitarist at the Esmeralda Enrique Spanish Dance Company and Compañía Carmen Romero. Barrile is a recipient of two Dora Mavor Moore Awards and was a 2020 Canadian Folk Music Award nominee for Instrumental Solo Artist of the Year.
