Antonio Najarro
Antonio Najarro, a celebrated flamenco dancer, trained at Madrid’s Royal Professional Dance Conservatory Mariemma. He founded the Antonio Najarro Company in 2002, creating notable productions like “Tango Flamenco” and “Querencia.” As Director of the National Ballet of Spain (2011-2019), he revitalized Spanish dance. Recent works include choreographing for the Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse and the Detroit Opera. Najarro has received numerous accolades, including the 2023 Medal of Honor for Merit in Fine Arts and the UNESCO International Dance Council recognition. He continues to tour internationally and choreograph for prestigious dance companies.
