Anouar Barrada is a Moroccan Sufi singer with a powerful and warm voice. He is recognized as one of the leading interpreters of Moroccan-style Arabo-Andalusian and sacred music, renowned for his energetic tenor. With the support of the Sufi Center, Barrada founded the Burdah Ensemble in 2009 in Montréal, a Sufi vocal group through which he has performed at major international festivals in the USA, England, Spain, and Canada. He has also collaborated on several projects with the acclaimed artist and composer Katia Makdissi Warren.
