Alfonso Losa

A master of the Madrid school of flamenco, Alfonso Losa is acclaimed as both heir to the great maestros and an architect of today’s new flamenco codes. Winner of the prestigious “El Desplante” award at the Festival de La Unión and multiple national prizes, he has shared the stage with legends including Enrique Morente, Tomatito, and Manuela Carrasco.

Renowned for his elegant strength and prodigious rhythm, Losa has created nine original productions since his debut in 2000. His 2021 show Flamenco: Espacio Creativo won the Critics’ Award at the Festival de Jerez, marking a defining moment in his career.

In 2023, he premiered Alter Ego at Madrid’s Teatros del Canal. The performance went on to sweep four prizes at the Festival de Jerez 2024, including the Audience Award and Critics’ Prize. Today, Alfonso Losa stands as one of flamenco’s most authentic and uncompromising voices, dancing with truth, tradition, and relentless creative force.
