
Marion Ho
Marion graduated from the University of Hong Kong with her B.Sc. (Hon) and earned her teaching certificate at the Ontario College of Education, 1968.
She taught for 32 years at Loretto Abbey CatholicSecondary School with fourteen years as Science Department Head. Under her mentorship, her students won many local, provincial and national Science Fair awards. An enthusiastic advocate for learning, she wrote curriculum for the Assessment Instrumental Pool for the Ministry of Education.
For 21 years, Marion was Director and is now Advisor to the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto.
She spearheaded their Summer China Study Tour and Searching for Your Roots Tour, organized summer camps for families with children adopted from China and CCCGT’s International Piano Competition. She was also a Director of Toronto’s 2008 Olympic bid.
A member of the ROM’s Department of Museum Volunteers for 23 years, Marion has held a variety of leadership positions: Co-Chair of the Docents, Co-Chair of ROMTravel and DMV Chair of Hospitality, Programmes and Events.
Currently, she is an active Docent and Assistant Section Head of Natural Science, an Executive member of the Bishop White Committee, a member of the Currelly Legacy Society.
