September 28, 2017 we were joined by more than 340 enthusiastic supporters and sponsors from around the world for the Aga Khan Museum’s Lapis Ball. The event was an inspirational evening of international performers, artists and cuisine reflecting a diverse range of world cultures. Lapis Ball guests experienced the unveiling of Pakistani artist, Shahzia Sikander’s Disruption as Rapture installation, as well as performances by award-winning Canadian Aboriginal artist, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and the Kurdish musical group, Nishtiman. Through the generous support of our guests, the Lapis Ball raised an incredible $500,000 that will assist the Museum in its mission to educate, inspire and connect cultures through art.
