Bios:
Professional mehndi artist Arzina Murji has had a passion for the art since childhood, applying her first bridal henna at age 15. Later in life, she furthered her mehndi skills by studying with the Ash Kumar Academy in the US. Orignally from Tanzania, Murji came to Canada in 1975 to study at the University of Toronto, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Education. In addition to English, she is fluent in several languages, including Spanish, Gujarati, Kutchi, and Hindi. She is also a certified yoga instructor and a tour guide here at the Aga Khan Museum. Murji's passion and years of experience in both education and henna application have inspired her to teach and share her skills with others through classes, workshops and one-on-one sessions.
