Bio:
Dr. Filiz Çakır Phillip is Curator at the Aga Khan Museum. She studied Art History and Classical Archaeology, Turcology, and Museums Management. She holds a Doctorate in Islamic Art History from Freie Universität Berlin. Before joining the Museum, she worked as Curator at the Museum of Islamic Art, Berlin. She has also served as Senior Fellow at the Excellence Cluster TOPOI, and as Research Fellow at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut.
