Kevin Myran

Kevin Myran is Dakota and Anishinaabe. He is known in Tkaronto as a ‘community uncle’. He is a proud father of seven and grandfather of two. Kevin has worked in various capacities at Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre for the past 20 years, most recently under the Resolution Health (IRSS), as the Cultural Knowledge-Keeper. Kevin is also a Sundancer, Pipe Carrier, and Pow Wow Singer, who is well regarded in the community for the promotion of healthy living, cultural practices and restoration of nation-based identity amongst youth.  Kevin is the proud contributor of manifesting the Buffalo Charging drum group from the revered twelve-year All Nations Juniors drum group.
